Japanese Meiji Period 19th century three-box Fubaku with a handle. It has an original naturally wood surface on the exterior and black lacquer on an interior. The top cover has maki-e and nashiji with floral decorations and symbolic clouds with silver nashiji.
The handle is made from a natural wood of a slightly lighter color then the rest of the box.
8" tall x 7 3/4"wide x 6 3/4" deep.
