Japanese Antique Carved Dragon Chair

Japanese: Furniture Pre 1910: item #1066722

Japanese antique wooden chair, elaborately carved all over with dragons in swirling clouds, two large dragon heads make up the arms of the chair and a large dragon is carved on the back rest, the front legs of the chair appear to be a bat with wings spread in one direction and in the other like a dragon's head, late Meiji Period (early 1900's). Provenance: property of MGM and Fox Studios circa 1935. Size: 33 1/2" high x 27 1/2" wide x 19" deep.
