This is a very attractive example of Japanese Golden Age Cloisonne. The colors are very bright and the design is very desirable. It is a very unique piece that was made in the late 1800's. The tray measures 12 3/4 inches by 8 inches. All in all the Condition is very good and it displays wonderfully. If you look close, there is a short craze and slight bend in the outer rim (see image). The roughness on the bottom is from the firing process.

This is a unique diamond shaped vase. The enamel is very refined and the vase is heavy. The base yellow color graduates in intensity as it flows upward. We have seen similar vases signed by Gonda and we assume that is the artist of this piece. The vase stands 6 inches tall. The rims are silver plated. If one look close there is a very slight line of discoloration deep in the surface.

This is an exquisite little Japanese Cloisonne Vase. Done by one of the masters, Hayashi. This little piece has a high gloss midnight blue ground. The foreground features 5 well executed gold wire songbirds. Silver rims, with gold into the throat, and on the base. Engraved on the base "Hayashi Kodenji". It stands 3 1/4" tall. The rim has a slight bend, and just under the top rim is a filled surface rim chip. Also a tiny nick on the side of the vase. Still a great piece.

This is a very unusual and attractive Japanese cloisonne vase. With the very long neck it stands 9 3/4 inches tall. This is the only time we have seen a cloisonne piece with this form. The quality is superb and the artist could have been one of several masters. Upon very close inspection one can see some faint lines in one area of the neck (see images). Otherwise excellent condition.

This is a fine Japanese wire and wireless cloisonne enamel tray. It is attributed to Namikawa Sosuke. The two pheasants are quite well done. The image is a copy of one of Watanabe Seitei's prints. The tray is very heavy and measures 10 7/8 inches by 10 7/8 inches. The tray has some minor pitting and some enamel variegations on the back side. I haves seen similar yellowish variegation on other signed Sosuke pieces. Overall the tray is in excellent condition.
