This is an antique Japanese copper wire plate, made in Japan in the early 20th century. This large size plate measures 11 3/4 inches wide, it is decorated with two birds, surrounded by flowers, morning glory, peony, and daises. It has a blue background, the back is also blue enamel with a simple cloisonne decoration. It is in good condition, but has some pitting, bubble like flaws in the enamel. Stand not included.

This is a great rare Cloisonne enamel box. The work and design are very unique. The mottled enamel colors and subject matter strongly suggest that Honda is the artist. The rims are also Bronze and appear to have never been silver plated. Condition is very good. There is scuffing to the bottom corners and a very minute flake/pit near the foo dog decoration. The best way to find it is by feel. The box measures 5 1/4 inches by 4 inches.
