A JAPANESE POLYCHROME PORCELAIN BOWL, 18TH CENTURY.
A Japanese Arita quatrefoil bowl decorated with green, red, yellow and aubergine enamels, the exterior with formal lotus scroll, the interior with a wonderfully eccentric winged dragon. The bowl is thickly potted and has a pinkish tone in places and has discoloured in others.

This is a modern Japanese Imari hinged box from the Showa period, circa 1950-1975. It features a well painted design on the top of a blue shi shi dog frolicking amongst flowers and a geometric border. The sides have designs of flowers, bamboo stalks and stylized leaves. The silver alloy hinge is deeply incised with an elaborate design. On the base is a mark that has been translated as Made by Ryusendo Gohei. The box measures 5 long by 2 Ύ wide by 2/3/4 deep. The size of Bronze Urn: 8 1/2" Dia x 6" High. Beautiful Japanese Antique Bronze Urn, Kensui by Murata Seimin. The bronze has beautiful detail works of Raimon(thunder) design with Chinese symbolic Dragon desgin. It has very nice patina color. It is casted bronze. The work is done by lost wax processing. It is marked "Dai Nippon Bunsei Nen Seimin Chu" (Dai Nippon Bunsei Year Seimin Casted). Bunsei is one of Edo period between 1818-1829. Bronze urn was made during that period. The condition of urn... An unusual porcelain tokkuri boldly enamelled with panels of flowers alternating with Ming style dragons. The porcelain body covered with a fine crackle. Dating is difficult, I suggest early 19th century.

This is a lovely Imari fish plate with a fan-shaped cartouche on a lush floral, iron red ground. The gilt detailing and softness of the underglaze blue creates a beautiful translucent effect. Excellent condition.
