A fantastic Edo period Kesa of white gossamer silk woven with stylized flaura in bright colors. Notice the hollyhock symbols, usually associated with the Tokugawa Shogunate. It is backed with peach silk, and is in overall fine condition considering the age. There is some damage to the silk where it was folded, and it is fragile along those lines (see close-up photo). It measures 43 x 75 inches (110 x 190 cm).
