Antique Tibetan ritual dagger or Phurbu, of typical form with a horse’s head at the top, below which are 3 wrathful heads mounted on a Vajra with the three edged blade emerging from a Makara’s mouth.
This Phurbu is probably 19th century, the casting is somewhat provincial but the piece especially the expressive three wrathful heads is quite powerful as I hope the pictures have managed to capture.
The dagger measures 8 inches in length.
