This cloisonne offering container was made in China for the Norbulingka temple palace in Tibet during the Chia-ch'ing period (1796-1820). The container is in excellent condition and decorated with the auspicious symbols. Height 20 cm. Diameter of the shoulders of the bowl: 12.5 cm.

This heavy (2188 grams) bronze phurba stand was made during the Chia-ch'íng period (1796 - 1820) and is from the Norbulingka temple palace. The three sides of the stand are decorated with skulls and dorjes. Height 7.5 cm., length 12.5 cm. In good condition. Without the phurba.

This gilt copper Tara is one of a number of statues which can be attributed to the Khasa Malla kingdom of West Nepal. Characteristics which support this attribution include the red pigment used on the reverse, the black painted hair and the style of the Visavajra on the base plate. The statue’s fingers on the outstretched hand had a casting flaw which was hidden by a cast replacement which has subsequently been lost, also at some point the statues lotus throne has been split in two and crudel...
