This cloisonne offering container was made in China for the Norbulingka temple palace in Tibet during the Chia-ch'ing period (1796-1820). The container is in excellent condition and decorated with the auspicious symbols. Height 20 cm. Diameter of the shoulders of the bowl: 12.5 cm.

This heavy (2188 grams) bronze phurba stand was made during the Chia-ch'íng period (1796 - 1820) and is from the Norbulingka temple palace. The three sides of the stand are decorated with skulls and dorjes. Height 7.5 cm., length 12.5 cm. In good condition. Without the phurba.

This gilt copper Tara is one of a number of statues which can be attributed to the Khasa Malla kingdom of West Nepal. Characteristics which support this attribution include the red pigment used on the reverse, the black painted hair and the style of the Visavajra on the base plate. An attractive lama-portrait (one of Tsongkapa’s disciples?) in carved zitan wood. Fully painted in cold gilt, colors and ink. On the back, a small cavity for prayer roll or offerings still sealed.
