Antique Afshar style persian hand knotted rug. Bright pinks dominate the design with accents of orange, white, brown, and other colors. THere is a large central medallion and an intricate border. It measures 8'2' by 4'4". Early 20th century.

A very rare Phurba ritual dagger of purple zitan wood with three heads of protectors on the top, a central vajra in the handle and the head of a garuda holding the triangular blade. Tibet, 15/16th century. L 28 cm. Condition: Good wear and only a few minor chips.

Large and very heavy antique Baby Shiva, probably from Orissa. Stands 4 3/8" tall and 6 3/8" on its custom base. Beautifully sculpted and finished. Very different from any other Baby Krishna I have encountered.
Antique Belouch persian rug, hand knotted from wool. The dark reds and coral colors are very striking. The rug has stag like animals in varying colors along the sides. There is a small orange animal climbing a column on one of the registers. It measures 3'10" wide by 7' long.

Antique bronze Ganesha riding a bull. The Ganesha is wonderfully animated as it holds the four attributes. Obtained in the 1960s from Katmandu. It measures 1.75" wide .5" deep at base 3.75" tall, 20th century.

Antique bronze Krishna in the pose of playing a flute. Krishna charmingly lets his head fall to one side as he plays a flute or other wind instrument. His head is topped with a stuppa like head covering. He wears very light weight garments. Obtained from Katmandu in the 1960s, made in the 20th century. It measures 9.25" tall base 3.5" diameter

Bronze statue of Buddha Sakyamuni in monk's robe sitting in Padmasana (lotus posture) on a double lotus throne; right hand in Bhumisparsha mudra (calling the earth to witness the truth) and left hand in Dhyani mudra (meditation).
Sino-Tibetan lacquered bronze, with deeply encrusted patina on the front, old red lacquer on the back (and beautiful oxidation inside).

The quality and the craftsmanship of this stupa is extraordinary. The chorten is richly decorated, with text, snow lions, dorjes. And with turquoise, red coral and quartz. The bottom is closed, with prayers inside. In very good condition. Tibet. Height 53 cm.

Antique Mandalay Burmese style bronze gilt with silver buddha on a lotus base. The Buddha with earlobes touching shoulders extends his right arm out while the left arm holds his robe aside. The base is rounded. Obtained in Katmandu in the 1960s, made in the 19th century. It measures 6.75" toll 3" in diameter at base.
Until the mid 1900's, transporting goods along the silk road was accomplished by camel caravans ...and it was important not to lose the camels in sand storms along the way... Each camel from Tibet was "adorned" with 3 bells...one large bell hang from a strap around the camel's belly, a 2nd bell was strapped around the neck, and the 3rd bell was hung from the camels tail. This old camel's bell was used on the caravans travailing between Tibet, across China and into Mongolia...

A walking cane or parasol handle made of silver with fine repousse and chased decoration of three ascetics and Lord Krishna playing the flute amidst cottages and trees. Beautifully embroidered "Goa" priest vestment from india. Goa was a Portuguese colony off the coast of India. It is embroidered with shades of blue, red, pink, yellow, orange, and green. There is a floral scrolling pattern on front and back with smaller flowers.
