Wonderful Indian bronze altar with the Hindu god Vishnu flanked by two female consorts, the three figures stand together on a raised platform with the four armed Vishnu in the center, a many headed naga (cobra snake) opens it's hood like an umbrella over Vishnu's head, a flat nimbus behind the figures depicts tendrils of water flowing from the mouths of two makara. Southern India. 19th century. Size: 11 1/2" high x 9 1/2" wide x 4" deep.

This piece shows the origin of a dzi bead. The agate dzi bead is still connected with it's source rock. It shows a dragon with the pearl. This is done with the knowing eye of the carver. The length of the bead is 7 cm. The size of the rock formation is 11.5 x 7 cm. In excellent condition.

A rare Indo-Persian Mughal KHANJAR DAGGER with a particularly beautiful damascended PAMOR design blade, terminating in a triangle of overlaid gold foliage decoration. The wonderfully shaped silver grip is exquisitely crafted as a 3-dimensional Lion's head. The dominant dense pamor pattern resembles the irregular annual rings of a tree trunk. Comes with a scabbard in blue textile. Size: 14" inches ( 36 cm.). Late 18/19th Century.
