Impressive statue of Vajrabhairava Yamantaka, the wrathful buffalo-headed meditation deity (yidam). He belongs to the highest yoga tantric deities. He has 9 heads and 34 arms. The central head is that of a buffalo, the top one represents Manjushri. Fire gilt bronze with turquoise and blood coral. Tibet, 18/19th. century. Sealed and in excellent condition. Height 22 cm. 18 cm. wide and 8.8 cm. deep.
