A very good Tibetan saddle seat cover decorated with large stylised peony branches and other flowers, also stylised clouds and mountains in bright colours. Borders in dark blue on beige. Each seat part: L. 53 x H 69 cm; Tibet, early 20th century. Condition: the connecting piece is missing and the red border is partly warn but the two saddle parts are in very good condition. considering the age and use.

On the back, the lamp is decorated with a relief design also representing goddess Lakshmi in a Gajalakshmi form. Bronze, fine green patina. India, early XIXth century. Heioght: 13.2 cm. Superb post-Gupta near-life-size 5-7th century stone head from a high-level collector who donated much of his collection to the Cleveland Museum of Art in the 1980s. Exquisite Nepalese or Tibetan 18/19thC Gilt Bronze Bodhisattva. Extremely beautiful face on this particularly charismatic sculpture, which is done in one of the most pleasing of all Himalayan styles (in my opinion). 7 1/2 inches tall. The base measures 6 inches x 4.5 inches.
