18thC, and possibly earlier, very large and INCREDIBLY heavy Sri Lankan Kandy style (with echoes of much earlier styles). 9.75 inches tall, 11.5 inches on custom stand, almost 10 inches wide at base. Due to the requirement that Lankan Buddhas (for nearly the past 1,000 years) must be solid cast, this is close to as large as the sitting ones get during this period. The face, ears, and elements of the body shape are related to Lankan Buddhas 500 to 800 years earlier...

Simply the best! Powerful large 18/19thC Mongolian thick copper repousse FIERCE deity. He faces my bed and keeps my dreams safe. Large at 16.25 inches tall, 11 inches wide. The new custom base adds the total height to 16 inches. I recently had the base made and had the parts of the statue (such as the waist) tightened up (this type is made in parts), and the overall piece gone over by the base-maker/conservator to make sure I was doing all I could to keep this sculpture in excellent condition...

BIG 19thC Jain Bronze Jina with vines growing up his legs and arms. I've seen a few others of this type, but all were between 11 and 15 inches. This one towers over them all at 21.5 inches tall, standing on a base that elevates it another 2.5 inches. Cast in two parts and joined at the waist (a little loose, but solidly attached). This type of casting was sometimes used on larger bronze statues in Nepal in the 19th century and earlier...

Early style Tibetan bronze Buddha. Well cast and sculpted, and beautifully gilt. Base plate looks to be intact. Style goes back to the 13thC, though this piece is younger. Take a look at the photos and decide for yourself. I've had opinions from knowledgeable collectors that it could be anywhere from 15/16thC all the way up to being a modern piece. Large for its type at a full 7 7/8 inches tall, and fairly heavy for its size. Wonderfully expressive face, and really nice detail to the crown...
