Very fine and rare KUSHAN terracotta votive tablet, 2-4th Century AD., depicting a serene seated Buddha with well defined features, crescent shaped hair topped by a raised ushnisha and a clear urna between the eyebrows. The head is surrounded by an aura/halo and his left hand is touching/reaching for a small vessel. The Buddha is clad in beautiful flowing robes. Hellenistic-Greek influenced modeling. Very good condition, no restorations or repairs. Size: 6.5 cm x 4.5 cm. Very rare item!

60 glass shards excavated in Afghanistan that have been knapped and drilled into pendants/beads. Many have an intense opalescent (dichroic?) patina.
