Beautifully embroidered robe with the twelve zodiac signs and 8 dragons. An abundance of gold thread was used to embroider the robe. The animals of the zodiac are on a gold ground encircled by a leafed border. The dragons have four claws and are within a circle on blue clouds. The robe is adorned with men, women and children dispersed with an interwoven symbol and swastikas. It measures 62" wide by 42" long.

A bright red Chinese satin silk purse with embroidery and tassel. The red silk has a floral pattern. The inside feels like silk but a looser weave. The colors are still vibrant, there are no stains and the purse is in excellent original condition with the exception of a 1.5" area at a fold where it is fraying, see last photo. The purse measures 6.5 inches long and 6 inches across at the widest point. With the tassel it measures 8.5 inches long.

Antique Chinese skirt with green velvet panels embroidered with images of flowers and bats. It is very unusual to find these skirts with velvet panels. Measuring 39 inches long, it is in
good used condition. There is some staining (water marks?)on silk areas, embroidered velvet panels in very good condition with the exception of one tear about 3" that can be easily repaired. Wear at hem border ribbon.

Embroidered Chinese silk court robe or jacket worn by a courtesan. Embroidery includes forbidden stitch and some gold couching around the flowers. Back side is in very good condition. Front side has overall fading and some tearing/deterioration on top half. Measurements:

A fabulous black silk ground lady's vest embroidered on both sides with birds, dragons, and clouds. This piece has been well cared for and the colors are still vivid. The dragons are woven in gold metallic wrapped threads. The birds are embroidered using the forbidden stitch. In excellent condition with the exception of a loose gold thread at shoulder (see next to last photo), it measures 47" long, 21" across the shoulder, 29" across the hem.

A gorgeous Chinese silk scent purse, with bright contrasting colors of deep purple/black and royal blue silk. The tassels are of a moss green that accents this plethora of charm and beauty. It displays the Asian citron fruit exhibiting a masterful work of silver and gold couching embroidery. These are getting quite rare and difficult to find in complete antique impeccable condition. 3.25 H x 2.75 W X length including tassels 12 inches. Circa 1890's and a sound investment.
