Beautifully embroidered Chinese chair cover featuring longevity symbols and dating from around 1800. The top register depicting a crane carrying peaches. The position of the chair back and the front overhang decorated with a deer and a crane under a pine tree among pierced rocks, gourds, leaves and flowers. A charming Chinese child's padded wind hat with the face of a tiger on the front. The tiger is a fierce animal which protects children from evil. Called a wind hat because of the protection it gives to the back of the neck, this hat is made of silk and embroidered with a butterfly on each side. In good antique condition, it does have some wear. Please study photos carefully. Colors are still vivid. Circa 1910.

A pair of 19th C mirror image cream colored embroidered Chinese sleeve bands. Very finely embroidered with butterflies, moths, and birds in medallions outlined with couched gold threads. One sleeve band is in excellent antique condition. The silk on the other sleeve band has darkened and the is some fraying at the ends. Measures 20.24" (51.4 cm) long x 4.75" (12.1 cm)

Beautifully embroidered robe with the twelve zodiac signs and 8 dragons. An abundance of gold thread was used to embroider the robe. The animals of the zodiac are on a gold ground encircled by a leafed border. The dragons have four claws and are within a circle on blue clouds. The robe is adorned with men, women and children dispersed with an interwoven symbol and swastikas. It measures 62" wide by 42" long.

A bright red Chinese satin silk purse with embroidery and tassel. The red silk has a floral pattern. The inside feels like silk but a looser weave. The colors are still vibrant, there are no stains and the purse is in excellent original condition with the exception of a 1.5" area at a fold where it is fraying, see last photo. The purse measures 6.5 inches long and 6 inches across at the widest point. With the tassel it measures 8.5 inches long.

Antique Chinese skirt with green velvet panels embroidered with images of flowers and bats. It is very unusual to find these skirts with velvet panels. Measuring 39 inches long, it is in
good used condition. There is some staining (water marks?)on silk areas, embroidered velvet panels in very good condition with the exception of one tear about 3" that can be easily repaired. Wear at hem border ribbon.
