DESCRIPTION: A vividly enameled porcelain snuff bottle, the clay deeply carved before firing to form nine foo dogs, each in different colors and positions, who frolic across the surface. The stopper is made from natural pink coral, and the bottle is stamped on the base in red characters. This delightful bottle dates from the latter Qing, 19th to early 20th C. DESCRIPTION: An early Chinese blue and white porcelain snuff bottle with round body, squared shoulder and wasted neck. Finely executed and painted in rich under-glazed cobalt blue with an imperial five-clawed dragon wrapping around the bottle chasing the flaming pearl. A blue Kangxi (K’ang-H’si) mark is on the bottom and it is of the period (1662 – 1722).
