A Pala style Sino Tibetan bronze figure of Amitayus dating to the 18th century. The sculptor has attempted to give this status pronounced 'Indian' features as can clearly be seen in the pictures. The bronze has been cast in two sections, the figure joined to the throne by tendons. The statue has a rich brown patina with remains of pigment and cold gilding on the face.
Height is just a touch over 5¾ inches.
