A vintage Chinese wood hand carved Kwan Yin (Guanyin) statue in good tall size, dated to the first half the 20th century. Standing on the fish-dragon with the body slightly curved, holding the pearl of wish and with peaceful smiling. Another hand holding a bottle with magic spring water flow down.

Size: 12" (30.5 cm) tall.

This is a smallish Chinese bronze “GU” form – with totally plain simple design. The piece measures 4 Ύ” high and is 4” diameter at the top. It is in very good shape – fine patina – one ½” crack in the bottom rim. We date the piece to the late Qing dynasty, circa 1850-1880s.

A suburb Chinese Boxwood carving of a warrior riding a horse. This wonderful carving is masterfully carved and has a rich patina. The warrior's face is wonderfully expressive. A hardwood (appears to be one of the darker varieties of the rosewood family) sculpture of Damo, also known as Bodhidarma, the founder of Chinese Chan Buddhism and Japanese Zen Buddhism.
