This snuff bottle is in the shape of a slightly flattened pear shape. It has numerous streaks of a soft aquamarine color. It has been of some sort of very hard glass made to simulate jade. We think this must be glass the way the green color occurs in fluid, ribbon-like swirls - that would not be a normal occurrence in true jade.

This is a very sweet small Peking glass bud vase from the mid 20th century, circa 1950s-1970s. The base glass is a milky white opaque glass - there is then an applied royal blue handle in the shape of an elongated leaf. The vase measures 6 1/8" high and is 3" diameter at its widest. A fine addition to any studio glass collection.
