Antique Chinese glass beads from Yunnan. Most likely Qing Dynasty but possibly Ming as large glass beads in this shape were documented from that period but the examples I have seen have been opaque. Average bead length is 1.5cm/.6in. They are very heavy and have a nice feel to them. Some original pitting and few cracks here and there but overall much finer than the similar beads in the previous listing. Very rare aubergine color most likely emulating amethyst.

$695.00

A very fine cobalt blue Peking Glass vase - a strong solid base is encircled with a thick band 3/4" wide – then the vase tapers to a narrower top opening. The base measures 3" in diameter and the top opening is just a hair over 2 3/8" in diameter. This is very thick glass and heavy glass with the thickness measuring 1/2" thick at the top rim. The vase stands 8 1/2" tall and weighs over two pounds. Hard to tell whether this was a blown piece or whether it might have been carved from a single cast... Click for details

This example is transparent blue Peking glass and was used by an Imperial Court official of the third rank. Otherwise known as a Mandarin’s Hat Button. ... Click for details
