A very curious and unusual piece that we believe dates from the mid to late 20th century. What we have here is a round covered pot with two handles and a lid with what is unquestionably a pottery body – but it is covered with a gorgeous cardinal red glazed crackle material that appears to be glass. If not glass, then it is some clear glaze that we have never seen before. A Chinese glass vase of lozenge shape supported on a similarly shaped foot and its four facets with raised edges. It has a purpose made loose bronze stand. The vase has a timeless elegance which would appeal to both collectors of Chinese glass and interior decorators. size: 8 3/4inches(22.5cm) height of the glass alone. age: 19th.C. condition: excellent, the bronze base showing wear.
