Well-made Chinese silver “tea boy” figure was formerly part of a necklace originating from the Miao minority. This piece was the main pendant and also functioned as a needle case holder. The figure most likely was of special significance to the Miao culture.

This attractive Chinese handwarmer in rectangular form with soft faceted edges has been beautifully crafted from the silvery alloy paktong and dates to the mid-19th century. The heavily cast plain surface body has a double-swing handle, and the reticulated cover is punched with tiny circles and stars. A CHINESE BRONZE CENSER, 17TH ~ 18TH CENTURY.

A very attractive heavy bronze censer stood upon three tall legs, each topped with a mask. The handles are formed as two opposing chilong dragons sporting unusual variations of the bifurcated tail. Beautiful Silver Box from Shanghai, China, 19th Century, with Dragon, Phoenix and good luck medallion in the center of the cover as well as very fine intricate floral decor and birds around the sides. Very good condition. Bottom is stamped with 2 Chinese Characters. Size: 12 cm x 7cm and height: 4cm. (Note: A Dragon and a Phoenix together symbolize the Emperor & Empress).
