A CHINESE CLOISONNE TRAY FOR THE SCHOLAR’S TABLE. 19THC.
A little ‘shabby chic’ admittedly but a nice item to place on your scholar’s table, with a few small desk items displayed there. The short walls and base are made from paktong or white brass and show various small knocks and other signs of old age.
A heavily constructed box decorated with a dragon set against a bright turquoise ground. The gilding is thickly applied and is still in good state.
Approximately 3.11/16 inches (9.3 cm) diameter. The condition is good but there is a small area of missing enamel on the side, not... Click for details
A PAIR OF CHINESE CLOISONNE DISHES, EARLY 19TH CENTURY.
A pair of small dishes, very heavily constructed and nicely gilded. The colouring and composition is unusual. I think these dishes are from the early 19th century, perhaps even late 18th century.
Approximately 5.5/8 inches (14.3 cm) diameter. Fine original condition.

Esitmated from 19th to early 20th century, exquisite cloisonne work with jade carving in the shape of fish on silver box. I believe that this was used as a box for jewel or small articles. Overall condition is great with fine patina. It has silver mark on the base as shown on the photo.

A MING CHINESE CLOISONNE BOWL, 16TH ~ 17TH CENTURY.
A hemispherical bowl decorated with formal lotus and bats surrounding a white ‘shou’, good luck character. The body of the bowl is copper; the rims and cloisons appear to be gilded bronze. One or two cloisons exhibit the ‘split wire’ characteristic. The blue enamel is quite pale and opaque; the bats are depicted using a semi translucent brown and a deep cobalt b... Click for details
A very well crafted round box and cover decorated with a rampant dragon and flaming pearl.
The deep blue enamel exhibits an interesting effect rather like the use of mixed colours where its surface is covered for the most part with a pale bluish enamel crystalline surface. I haven’t ... Click for details
DESCRIPTION: From the Florida estate of an avid Asian collector comes this large, exceptional Chinese cloisonné and gilt bronze brazier. Standing on four feet shaped as elephants’ trunks, the large body has a wide flared rim, perfect for distributing heat. Decorated with a flower and scrolling tendril design in bright enamels on a turquoise ground, the deep body would have held coals for heating. The brazier is crowned with a large pierced lid of similar design with its rim decorated in vario... Click for details
A rectangular planter raised on bracket feet decorated overall with scrolling lotus beneath a champleve key-fret rim. The planter is of decent weight and has good signs of age and use; the interior has a deposit of calcium (from water) built over its years of use as a plant-pot holder. I suspect that this deposit could be easily removed with a kettle descaling so... Click for details
