A beautiful and large Chinese cloisonné enameled box with 5 old jade plaques mounted on the cover. Decorated groups of big lions and baby lions playing, which are called"Tai Shi Shao Shi". The body of the dish is of a decent thickness generously enamelled with a chilong on a yellow ground. The borders design is quite distinctive and is often found on 18th century wares.

Chinese cloisonne lidded jars with wood stands and padded silk presentation box. Early Republic period to possibly late Qing dynasty. Measure about 7 1/2” high to the top of the finial (about 8 1/2” high on the stand). The jars are in very good overall condition. The wires are somewhat tarnished from age and could be polished if desired. We have left the pieces with the aged patina intact. This pair is from the private collection of American expatriates to Hong Kong in the 1970s and 1980s.
Chinese cloisonne covered chalice decorated with a central cartouche featuring a 5-clawed dragon set against a fretwork background. A band of ruyi heads encircles the top of the chalice and the finial. A wood stand is included. Qing dynasty Guangxu period (late 19th century). Measures about 8 ¼” high to the top of the finial (about 9 ¼” high on the stand). Very good overall condition. There are losses to the counter-enamel on the underside of the lid. Chinese cloisonné scholar’s brush washer decorated in the center with a 5-clawed dragon chasing a flaming pearl. Two additional 5-clawed dragons chase a flaming pearl around the circumference. The decoration is set against a cloud-form cloisoned background. A band of ruyi heads encircles the top and a stylized wave pattern encircles the base. ‘Basse taille’ is a term given to the use of reflective silver foil beneath the surface of the translucent enamel. In this example engraved silver flowers, now tarnished, can also be seen on the surface. The box was made in Canton, now Guangzhou, where a good harbour at the mouth of the Pearl River ensured a safe haven for European traders.

A pair of Chinese candlesticks of European form decorated with sprays of flowers on a green cloud scroll background, gilt copper mounts. The bases are marked "CHINA". The dimensions are 11 3/4" tall and 4 1/4" in diameter at the base.
A large and wonderfully detailed and colorful cloisonne floor vase, we will simply allow the photos to speak for themselves. We date this excellent example pre 1940's as the copper alloy is well patinated. This fabulous large cloisonne horse statue is made of bronze & cloisonne with gold guilded accents! Beautiful & unique color pattern with attention to detail. The quality of the cloisonne pieces made in the 1960-70s is still very high. It's quite heavy.
