Saucer. Provenance: China. The Nanking Cargo sale, Christie's Amsterdam, 28 April - 2 May 1986. Dating: Qianlong (1736-1795), 1751. This saucer on a footring with a straight rim was part of the “The Nanking Cargo” auction held by Christie's in Amsterdam in 1986. This is a rare luncheon set of Chinese Export porcelain from around 1920. The set is old and has been in storage for decades. The earlier high quality rooster chicken pattern is a rare find. The enamel work and colors are wonderful. The set has 6 settings of 4 pieces each for a total of 24 pieces. I have only shown one setting but the entire set is in excellent condition. The largest plate measures 8 1/2 inches across.
