This is a charming Yixing teapot molded in the shape of an ear of corn atop which a small mouse is busily eating his way into the corn. The piece is in excellent condition with fine patina that leads us to believe that it probably dates to the late Qing dynasty, circa 1880s-1910. The piece measures 8 ½” long by 4” high by 3 ½” wide. Excessively rare and seldom seen in the condition here shown. This candle holder dates to the early part of the reign of Emperor Xiafeng (1850-1861). The enamels have a soft slightly worn effect that testifies to the suggested age. Yet the colors and details are stunning! This treasure is a must for any serious collector of the Asian arts. In excellent condition without chip, hairline, or damage, it measures 8" high.

Chinese Yuan Dynasty Jun Bowl with Gold Lacquer Repair

This "heavily-potted" stoneware Junyao bowl was made during the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). It is coated in a thick crackled Jun glaze. The colour is predominantly bluish but there is a purple splash inside and another smaller purple splash to the outer surface. Around the rim is a Japanese kintsugi gold lacquer repair. This lovely little melon shaped lobed Coupe was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279). It is glazed in a delicate pale blue Qingbai glaze and has two small loop handles. Fine conical bowl with flatten and indented mouthrim circa Jin to Yuan Dynasties. The glaze has three large brown splashes and a myriad of brown speckles; it is in excellent original condition with no damage although there are few small narrow spots where the glaze did not completely cover the body (please examine enlargements). The center interior with landscape scene of farmer crossing a bridge, interior rim with half plum blossoms; the exterior with immortals under pine trees.
