DESCRIPTION: A carved Chinese jade belt buckle, the nephrite stone of an off-white color with light and dark inclusions, each side carved with taoti, or monster masks, with the reverse of each having shaped knobs for fastening through slits in the belt. Very good condition, Qing Dynasty, 1644 – 1911. DIMENSIONS: 4 ¼” long (10.8 cm) x 1 ½” wide (3.8 cm).
