Wonderfully carved Chinese jade figure of a recumbent horse, green nephrite with hint of red, early-mid 20th century.

A striking carving of Kwan Yin made from Rose Quartz. The figure has lovely facial features and has flowing robes. A long scarf rises from her hands to over her head in a halo like effect framing the head. In her hand she holds a round object – probably of religious significance but not known to us.The figure is affixed to a separate Rose Quartz stand. DESCRIPTION: A nephrite winged dragon, finely carved from a light celadon colored stone. The dragon crouches with head turned, a single curling horn and bifurcated tail. Latter Qing Dynasty, 19th/20th C., in excellent condition. DIMENSIONS: 4” long (10.1 cm) x 1 ½” high (3.8 cm).
