Rare small bronze cast bell from the Warring States Period, 770BCE -221BCE, (possibly Yan State). Excellent condition with dotted reticulated pattern, still has a bit of clink and clank to it when tapped. Small hole at the top, presumably intentional, to hang a clapper from. Included is museum quality perspex stand. Base W: 5.8cm/2.2in and center H: 5cm/2in

This bronze vessel was made some 2,000 years ago during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220). It is very thinly made and the inside has good traces of a red pigment. The small shaped handle at the side enables it to be easily held between finger and thumb, using it as a cup or scoop/ladle. Diameter 11.5 cm. It has small split at the side, otherwise good condition.
