Chinese Qing olive-brown glazed hexagonal form stoneware teapot decorated with relief figural, animal, and floral panels. The cover has a foo dog finial. The body of the base and interior are unglazed. The teapot was molded in two vertical sections which join at the sides of the handle and spout. Details: A finely painted and detailed example of a late 17th-18th century Qing Sino-Tibetan gilt bronze image of the historical Buddha. Buddha is seated crossed legged in padmasana (the lotus or diamond posture) with both naturalistically cast hands held in front of his chest in the turning of the dharma wheel or the teaching mudra (dharma chakra pravatana mudra). Exquisitely formed translucent pink Chinese Qing dynasty (19th century) Peking glass cup on a wood stand. 2 1/2"H (3 1/2"H on the stand) x 3 1/2" diameter of rim. Excellent condition. A Chinese blue pottery brush rest made in the form of the character for the word mountain. These brush rests were used on the scholars desk to place his brushes whilst working on calligraphy or paintings. The form is also similar to the French Fleur de Lis figure. There are three peaks to the mountain and there are two identical Chinese characters on the two sides of the piece we have not been able to translate them.
Estimated from ming dynasty, chinese bronze God figure in robe with exquisite cloisonne work. The figure is one of the seventh gods. It is good in condition with some worn due to age.
