SOLD Antique Thai figure of seated Buddha Shakyamuni. Made of bronze and seated with his hands folded in meditation (Dhyana mudra). Downcast eyes with lids barely open, a gentle smile on his face, he exudes a sense of calm. With lovely patina and traces of gilt.
Age: Ayutthaya (1350-1767 A.D.)

A rare Tausug raw silk sash fragment woven in two pieces. Tapestry weaving with geometric pattern and zigzag design from the Sulu Archipelago near Mindanao in the Philippines. Provenance: old Swiss collection. Condition: slightly faded, one narrow side shortened, patina, little staining, a small hole. Dimension approx.: 33.3 cm x 228 cm.

Sold, Thank You! A fine example of Edo period Kano painting, this generously proportioned hanging scroll illustrates a late autumn scene from the Japanese countryside over 300 years ago. The poem on the scroll reads:
Solitary, with the color, of nothingness A close to autumn, on a ring of mountaintops The painter, Minenobu Kano (1662 - 1708), was greatly admired by the Ienobu Tokugawa shogunate who eventually promoted him to the position of inner-court artist. As a result... Chinese Yuan dynasty longquan celadon dish decorated with nice single fish at the centre. 20,5 cm diameter. Dish has two chipped at the rim and one chipped at the foot rim (please see on the pictures) Free from any repaired.

A pair of red lacquered sake cups with chrysanthemum and pampas grass (respectively) on ornate stands decorated with golden landscapes enclosed in the original compartmentalized wooden box titled Sansui Maki-e Hai-ki ittsui (One Set of Sake Stands with Lacquer Landscapes). They are 4-1/4 inches (11 cm) square at the feet, and in excellent condition dating from the early 20th century.
