Hagi pottery became popular throughout Japan for tea ceremony during Edo period (1603-1867). Hagi ware has its distinctive nice cracks together with soft texture which is highly prized among tea lovers around the world.

An antique Chinese scholar's stand made of natural gnarled twisted hardwood roots with a transparent russet lacquer. This type of natural root furniture goes back to the 12th century aesthetic. Here is an example of the round stand produced during the Republic Period, bearing the colonial form true to the Victorian Era.

Early People’s Republic of China molded, green glass vase (emulating celadon jade) and in the style of a Han Dynasty Hu, circa 1960 to 1970. Although millions of decorative items were produced during this period very little has survived to this day, especially anything made of glass. This piece is “as new” condition, with the original label, no damage whatsoever. Today it is easier to find original Han Hu then one of these. H: 28cm/11in and D: 20cm/7.9in.

Mint Oni-Hagi masterpiece chawan by star potter Seigan Yamane. This extraordinary tea bowl is covered by wonderful different shades of white glaze and a few shades of purple on brown pottery. In my opinion it is the one of the most aesthetic chawans that he made. The seal of the artist is stamped on the bottom.
