A vibrant bowl in the shape of an aubergine decorated with soaring cranes and clouds by Heian Isso enclosed in the original artist signed wooden box, the inside of which is decorated with a wispy poem by friend and compatriot Otagaki Rengetsu. The bowl is large at 26 x 29.5 x 7 cm (10 x 11-1/2 x 3 inches) and is in excellent condition. This is a very interesting piece, clearly made by Isso, but the box decorated by Rengetsu, showing the depth of their friendship and artist relationship.

A rare pair of Antique Japanese of matching matchlock hand guns. Iron barrels with hand inlaid with silver and gold dragons. The dai stock is of a hardwood and brass jiita arquebus's firing mechanism, sakura ramrod intact. With custom antiqued bronze stands for display.

An antique Japanese Fish Jizai Kagi made of hand forged iron, bamboo and wood. The fish, the hook and the two segment connecting rods are made of iron while the main body is made of bamboo and the inner post is made of wood.

Rare and Sublime Painted Porcelain Vase by Korean Buddhist Monk Su An Sunim (born 1940) depicting children. It has a warm, creamy slip-painted surface. This is the only ceramic art by Su An Sunim we have ever seen offered for sale. The recent exhibition of Su An Sunim's paintings at the Zen Buddhist Temple in New York City was the most highly-attended exhibition ever presented by the Korean Art Society. Set of four Canton enamel cups & saucers and one bowl. Finely painted with flower scrolls on yellow ground in "Famille rose" palette and little gold. Interior of the bowl and bottom of the saucers enamelled in pink. Condition: fine, unless minor hairlines and few tiny chips, one saucer's bottom with enamel loss. Dimension: bowl: diameter: c. 9 x 5.3 cm high, saucers diameter: c. 11.3 cm, cups: diameter: c. 6.8 x 5.1 cm high.

溶けた恵比寿 / MELTED EBISU

Wood carving Ebisu god image scorched and half-melted by conflagration, which turned to more fascinating abstract sculpture as the result. Edo period (1603-1868), Japan. approx. H 28 x W 22 x D 15.5cm (11.02 x 8.66 x 6.10in). Stained with its soot when touch, though depends on the part. Insertion joint is unstable and shaky back and forth, but it will be no problem when just leave it alone.
