A lovely water pot was finely mold.
Being beautifully decorated on the surface with colorful splashes, the water pot was authenticated as an archaic piece from Changsha kiln of Tang dynasty.
By a very fine condition of the glaze, the porcelain item was justified as a sought-after piece when most of the items found were in poor condition by severe degradations.

I have seen many antique paintings of mountain tigers, but none with this level of realism. This Chinese painting dates late Qing, 1910-1912, possibly early Republic, pre 1920. The seal indicates that it came from a shop in Southern China. It measures approximately 17" wide x 48" high.

Large stoneware jar with multi-color dripping glaze over a creamy white crackled glaze. The green is the traditional green of earlier Shigaraki ware, the blue as well, but a variety of brown, red, pink and black have been added to the palette. Inside and bottom covered in brown glaze with yellow spots. Japan, early Showa, 1920-1930s.
