An original Japanese color woodblock print by the artist Utagawa Toyokuni I (1769-1825), in vertical oban size. Depicting two women with a boy drying and beating Cloth on the river banks. Signed "Toyokuni ga", censor "kiwame". Condition: good color and impression, some small wormholes, backed, creased and soiled, laid down at upper corners. Dimension: 36.1 cm x 24.6 cm.

This is a great little Japanese satsuma vase. It is highly detailed and the 40 or so children are all very expressive. Amazingly the vase stands only 3 inches tall. This is truly a wonderful micro-detailed piece and I believe it was made with the beautiful and tough mercury fired gold. You will need glasses to appreciate all the fine detail. It is partially signed on the bottom and minutely signed in a banner held by one of the children. This signature looks like it could be either Yabu Meizan...

This is a very fine Japanese Satsuma shallow footed bowl. As can be seen in the images the workmanship is top level. It is 4 5/8 inches across and 1 1/2 inches tall. The piece is in excellent condition.

A nicely shaped and symmetrical Song Dynasty bowl, olive green glaze with minor typical wear to the glaze due to age. Outside of bowl is decorated with incised lotus leaf pattern. Antique Chinese jadeite carving of a pair of peanuts with leaves and vines growing out of their top, and a small chimera crawling along the bottom with its legs and tails pointed upwards. Peanuts are called "huasheng" in Chinese, and are considered a lucky charm for those wishing to have many children as "sheng" means "giving birth". The top of the carving has a pierced hole to be hung from a toggle. Size: 2" length, 1" thickness

Ming Dynasty Blue and White Bowl with a floral design. Note flaws at time of manufacture and small chip in the glaze, otherwise no chips or cracks and in overall good condition. Diameter is 10 inches and height is 2.75 inches.

Antique Chinese jadeite carving of a head of cabbage with a cute cicada sitting on top of the leaves, which have a wonderful bumpy texture and waviness, and a bundle of roots at its base. Size: 3.5" legnth, .75" thickness

A Tang Dynasty White Glaze Melon Box with lobed vertically carved lines eminating from the lid. Hair line in the glaze on lid appears to be in the glaze only. Crack in lid from time of manufacture. Height is 3 inches.

Antique Chinese grey and white jadeite carving of two fish swimming opposite each other, one of them spouting a stream of water out of its mouth. The fish are delicately carved over the darker grey area of jade, while the rest piece is a lighter grey/white jade. Size: 2.5" length, .75" thickness

Antique Chinese jadeite carving in a beautiful grey color, of a Buddha's hand citron, a peach, and a pomegranate amidst reticulated creeping vines and leaves. Size: 2.5" length, .75" thickness

Old Kalaga from Myanmar (now Burma) featuring an unusual but colorful bird. The kalaga is embroidered with a combination of metallic and plain threads, sequins, beads and glass stones. Applied around the bird in a circle are glass-like stones that give the appearance of moonstones. In very good antique/vintage condition, it measures about 14.25 inches square. Circa 1950's or earlier.

Ming Dynasty Blue and White Plate with a nice silky glaze. Flaws and dimples during manufacture and a small chip to underside edge of the rim. Diameter is 6.75 inches.

Antique Chinese adorable frog clay roof tile. Glossy glaze on stone makes the rich green, yellow, and orange colors vibrant and stand out nicely. Frog is charming and tranquil. Opening on back is perfect flower arrangement. Early 19th Century Dimensions: 15.5" Long, 5.5" Tall, 8.5" Wide

A pottery whistle in the form of an unusual face with its lips puckered as if whistling. The top of the whistle has green and brown glazes (sansai glaze) - the bottom is unglazed. The glaze has a very fine crackle. Under magnification, tiny pits can be seen on the fine crackle, which is consistent with the appearance of glazes for pieces of this period.
