SOLD New Arrival Antique Japanese sumidagawa ware vase with an incredibly realistic three-dimensional dragon coiled all around the body of the vase. The vase itself is very textured in body with a vertically ribbed form as well as tight ridges horizontally. The upper body and neck are glazed in thick oil spill colors. SOLD Beautiful antique Chinese snuff bottle carved all of dark agate. The stone is so smokey and dark it appears almost black but has lovely clouds of deep orange on one side. On the reverse side of the bottle, classic agate striations can be seen ranging from almost black to very thin areas of almost clear translucency. Backed with a metal belt loop used to fashion on ones belt. Container to store black powered and lead bullets for matchlock rifle.
19th Century Size: 4 1/2" x 4" x 1 3/16" A rectangular and exceptionally designed top horse saddle rug or seating mat made of wool in knotted pile. Centrally two flying birds, between them quite invisible Chinese characters, bordered by swastika pattern. Lined and edged with different blue fabrics. Condition: faded, few small areas with missing pile (moth damage). Dimension total: 77.5 cm x 62.5 cm.

SOLD New Arrival Antique Japanese large onigawara roof tile end cap. This beautiful tile was made in the toukigawara method with a hollow interior. It once graced the roof of a large building, perhaps a temple or an important house. It has a raised Tomoe crest (mon) in the center which is surrounded by wonderfully three dimensional swirling clouds and topped with it's own roof. Meiji Period (1868-1912). Size: 20" high x 22" wide x 12 1/2" deep.

A large 17th to 18th century Buddhist sculpture of a Rakan (arahat), well sculpted, his naked torso gilded in gold with robes and shoes in black lacquer, carrying a large urn which is an active incense burner. The sculpture is 2 feet (61 cm) tall and in overall fine condition. There are minor losses to the lacquer and gilding typical of age, and a repair to his left foot. Both little fingers are missing from his hands; these could be repaired if desired at additional cost.
