SOLD Antique Japanese lacquered samurai sword stand,holds five swords. The stand is simply done in black lacquer with gold paintings on the front and back panels. The bridge of the stand is decorated with a view of Mount Fuji divided into two sections. One side shows Mount Fuji with a dragon ascending the peak of the mountain. The other side shows the foothills of mount Fuji with a view of the bay of Tago (Tago no Ura). Age: 19th century. Size: length: 19.5" width 7.5" height: 19"

sold thank you It is indigo dyeing cotton Yogi of the Edo era. It uses technique of the ombre dyeing. It is dyeing of the high technique.
It is handspan, handwoven and it is dyed with an indigo plant of nature. It has several places of repair traces. There is not the stain.
It is all original in the Edo era.

SOLD An antique blue and white Imari porcelain decorated with landscapes and ginko leaves. The landscape is portraying the view of the noted Song Dynasty literati scholar, Su Dongpo having a boat ride at Red Cliff. The motif is based on a hand scroll written by Su Dongpo reminiscing of the fun he had with his friends and the poems that were composed. The inscription is a summary of the landscape and the party he held on the boat. Age: Meiji Period Size: diameter 8" height 4"

Sold A finely done Japanese bamboo basket used as a flower container made by the second Shochikusai. The handle is done in a way as if the vine appears to grow out from the basket and fine strips of bamboo are woven throughout the vase. Fine woven bamboo baskets require the highest skills to create the rhythmic geometric patterns and form. Age: Showa Period Size: length 10" width 6.5" height 18.75"

Sold in our Liverpool shop - Feb 2014 / 利物浦店内售出 - 2014年2月 A Chinese porcelain vase profusely decorated with famille rose enamels. This item was made for export during the second half of the 19th century, possibly during the reign of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874).
There is a shallow ground under rim chip (please view enlargement 7) and there is wear to the gilding on the stylized gilded chilong dragons around the neck; no cracks and no restoration.

It has two extremely small holes. There are no stain and damage.

The centre is decorated with a moulded peony flower; surrounding this the thick green glaze is incised with stylized lotus scrolls. Sold in our Liverpool shop - June 2018 / 利物浦店内售出 - 2018年6月 A pair of 17th/18th Century style underglaze blue painted vases decorated with flowering branches of prunus blossom. The bases carry the four character reign mark of the Kangxi emperor but these items were made later, probably for export, during the late Qing or early Republic period, circa 1880-1920.
Condition: one vase is in excellent condition, with no damages and no repairs or restoration; the other has a 0.7cm under rim chip (please view our 4th picture) and it has a re-glued 10cm section ...

SOLD Japanese plique-a-jour bowl with roses and plum blossoms. The bowl has a silver rim and small feet. Red roses with blue and maroon plum blossoms on a green ground. It measures 3.25" diameter, 2" tall. Meiji Period 1868-1912.
