Chinese Wooden Grain Measuring Bucket, 11" high, 7 1/4" square-top, 14" square-bottom, with heavy black iron mounted frame with multiple studded iron nails, the heavy iron frame covers around the top rim, underneath 2 sides with attached wooden handles. Bottom area of black iron mounted frame is somewhat rusted and damaged with age, and some age cracks on wood.

A pair of celadon Te-shoku candle sticks by contemporary potter Orita Tatsuya enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The elegantly sculpted base rises to a dish in which is imbedded a brass pin to secure the candle, with a long tapering handle. A bronze figure of a sturdy-bodied Garuda with his arms and wings spread outwards. Vishnu, with his traditional implements including a discus, conch and mala is balanced atop Garuda's left shoulder and upright tail. The patina is complex in color - some areas have taken on lapis lazuli blue hues.
