This is a fine antique Japanese cloisonne vase and probably a cabinet piece. It stands just under 5 inches tall. The glowing beauty and quality are more impressive when seeing it in person. The vase is in excellent condition.

This is a rare example of an early pigeon blood cloisonne vase. It's also quite an attractive old piece. There is no embossed red translucent background like the common pieces but there is substantial amounts of silver wire and enamel work. The vase is also a unique wide shape being 7 1/4 tall and 4 1/2 inches wide. The rims are silver and unmarked. Condition is excellent with a small bit of discoloration in the translucent red enamel. This is shown in the images.

A miniature form of a figure riding on a horse. The upper half is glazed in a dark chocolate brown glaze.

Period: Song (10th thru 13th Century) Size: 5.5 cm high

Rare and beautiful pair of antique imperial Chinese lacquer storage trunks. Made of wood and lacquered with highly detailed gold patterns of flowers and dragons on a black lacquer ground. The top of each trunk is lacquered with scenes of pavilions and figures among pine tress. Areas of woven bamboo work are framed with red lacquered carved wood. Each trunk is attached to a built on elegant lacquered wood stand. Provenance: from the imperial household of Emperor Puyi.
