Description:
A black-glazed tea bowl was in a unique form.
Apparently caused by firing effects, the surface of the glaze was transformed to a mysterious image that was charming and different.
It was not sure if it was intentionally finished by an ingenious potter or just an accidental surprise.
But it was indeed a unique and sought-after piece for real connoisseur.

Decorated in underglaze blue and underglaze red, depicting scenes of immortals and children in a garden. H. 28 cm. Republic period (1912-1949). Very good condition, no cracks or repairs, only some firing flaws on the mouth rim.

The expertly thrown body is covered with the typical black oniita glaze inside and outside, with the exception of the bottom, the roughly cut foot ring and window, which is decorated with a geometric pattern in black under a transparent Shino type glaze.

This is Sashiko kimono used in Kaga area Kanazawa for the Meiji period. As for this, cotton is dyed with a natural indigo plant. The cotton is spun by hand. This is a very good texture. Silver and gold thread couching and embroidery in blue on dark silk ground, the sun disk is made of small coral beads. Backed with blue silk. Condition: faded, wear, splits, thin areas, lining with stains.
