This type of Diety had it's influence from the Gandhara also was a jewel of Buddhist civilization. Unusual secondary burial jar carved of white limestone in the form of a person. Wonderfully sculpted with the head and shoulders making up the lid portion of the jar. The body of the jar is carved with the person's arms in low relief while the rest of the jar maintains an ovoid form. Kulaman Plateau, Cotobatu, Philippines.

A rare Indonesian Keris/Kriss with very old short wavy pamir/pamor steel blade. The Javanese style hilt has a white metal (probably silver) fitting set with flat back - "rose cut" - diamonds. For similar diamond fitting please see fig 10a, page 385 - "Glossary of the Construction, Decoration and Use of Arms and Armor" by George Cameron Stone, 1934 - pub 1961 by Jack Brussel (New York). Condition - the tip of the blade is missing and there are two chips and an age related crack to the wooden hilt...

Antique Philippine barong sword with carved wooden handle and inlaid scabbard. The single sided leaf-shaped blade is attached to a hardwood handle with silver and natural fibers. The scabbard (taguban) is carved of wood, wrapped with rattan and has shell inlay in elaborate Islamic filigree. From the predominately Islamic Sulu Islands of Southern Philippines.

A very large rare string of ceramic beads from the neolithic period. The necklace measures 106 centimeters from end to end. The condition is very fine considering the age.These beads date back to 500 to 1000 BC

This is an 18th century, or early 19th century Balinese iron buckle, decorated with serpent motifs with gold inlay. There is some age-related rubbing with associated loss to the inlay, as would be expected. There is an inlaid calligraphic inscription to the back of the "fastener," which I have not had translated. The pieces measure, variously, 2-5/8" X 2-1/2" for the buckle, and 2-1/2" X 1-1/2" for the "fastener." The listing is for both pieces.
