Antique Korean three section chest with beautiful inlay on black lacquer. The top section has three small drawers along the top, decorated with inlay in a geometric pattern. The cabinet doors are decorated inside with scenes of birds on branches. The other panels are decorated with landscapes, scenes of birds, and other animals. Choson period, circa 1900. It measures 20" deep 68" tall 40.25" wide.

Antique Korean low table, of a rounded form with raised, scalloped flower petal edges. The apron below is openwork carved with scrolling vine motifs and double happiness symbols. The table's top is highly decorative with fine inlay work of brass, shell, and shagreen, creating a depiction of a phoenix and a serpentine dragon. Korean two-level hardwood kitchen cabinet, made with bold grain elm wood panels. The piece holds two small drawers along its topmost sections and an upper and lower compartment behind its two pairs of front swinging doors. Fitted with hand-forged iron hardware and plates.

Koryo Dynasty 10th-14th century

Korean round lacquered container with shell inlay motifs of scrolling vines and lotus petals. The lid is topped with a pointed finial, lifting away to the red lacquered interior. The base is black lacquer with inlay sides and delicate inlay along interior rim.

19th Century

Dimensions: 3 1/4" W x 2 1/4" H

A large Korean bedside chest or Morijang. The top of the chest holds a row of 3 drawers with hinged double doors below, and a row of four drawers along the very bottom of the piece. Motifs of butterflies and auspicious symbols are seen throughout the hardware plating. The interior holds a single curved shelf with decorating metal plating and a locking mechanism to hold its front doors securely shut.

Antique Korean large blue and white porcelain jar, with a long, oval shaped body. Cobalt underglaze sparrows and pomegranates on branches decorate the body, with a collar of ruyi motifs along the base of the neck. The foot has a single ring above it in cobalt blue. Choson Dynasty 19th century.

Antique Korean glazed bottle vase. Pear shaped rising to a tall neck with a slightly everted rim and applied with a glossy transparent glaze. Fluted rounded rim with natural design. Would have been used to store choice fluids. Choson period circa 1850s.

Korean metal oval shaped box, with copper lining and base. The top of the lid is incised with a mask and auspicious inscriptions, and its underside lined in dark stone or clay.
