Japanese carved and stained bone Brown Bear Cane/Walking Stick Handle, Meiji period, 1 1/4" high, 1 1/8" wide, 1 1/2" deep, long hair and long tail curved under copper band 3/8" high, 7/8" diameter on the bottom outside the hole. No damage on Brown Bear, some wears showing on copper band.

Antique Japanese two-panel screen of two hawks on paper panel, set upon a gold leaf background. Each panel is beautifully done, an intense expression seen in the face of each bird, which were a very popular status symbol. Signed and stamped on each panel. From the Soga school of father and son Nichokuan and Chokuah.

We like to present you today an early Edo Period Karatsu Yaki Guinomi (Sake cup) with aesthetic silver repair (kintsugi) made around 1700.

The Guinomi has a hira-gata shape, refering to the Kamakura Period. Fantastic item!

It comes with a tailor made wood box.

Japanese Kiri wood and lacquered floral decorated Hibachi with copper lining, 9 1/4" high, 10 1/4" diameter-outside, and 5" high, 8 1/4" diameter-inside polished copper liner, with 3" wide Lacquer band on the lower area. Low relief lacquer decoration on both sides. The condition is good, one small area about 1" long old separation in the natural Kiri wood.

Red tinges the deeply fissured celadon on this massive basin by Living National Treasure Shimizu Uichi enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Seiji Benisai Hachi (Celadon with red flamed Basin). Rising from a narrow foot, the piece seems to float in the air, gold and red shining through the cracks in the fissured glaze. Pair of antique Japanese dolls of a standing onna-bugeisha (female samurai) and her travel companion kneeling at her side, holding her bundled baby. The onna-bugeisha holds a large bow with a quiver of arrows on her back. Both dolls are ornately dressed in silk robes and body armor, with fur shoes and real feather arrows.
