Here is a beautiful but unsigned Namikawa Sosuke vase. Those familiar with Sosuke's work, will know this vase was made by the master and is authentic. It's a stoutly made piece with silver rims. It stands 6 1/4 inches tall. This vase is in excellent condition. I have also provided an image of a later made, but very similar signed Sosuke vase.

But the model presented here is exceptionally of excellent quality. Indeed the blacksmith has cut out his pattern excessively finely like an iron lace. We do not know of a model with such thin wires cut at the extreme limit of the constraints of the metal...

Blue glaze has been applied to the joined slabs of raw clay forming this elongated basin by Shigemori Yoko enclosed in a signed wooden box titled Mudai. Several slabs of clay were rolled and crushed together, the raw edges untouched forming a mountain-scape along the top. It is 66 cm (26 inches) long and in excellent condition, enclosed in a wooden box signed by her brother Naoki. This is one of only a couple examples we have from this torn series...
