Here is a beautiful but unsigned Namikawa Sosuke vase. Those familiar with Sosuke's work, will know this vase was made by the master and is authentic. It's a stoutly made piece with silver rims. It stands 6 1/4 inches tall. This vase is in excellent condition. I have also provided an image of a later made, but very similar signed Sosuke vase.

Perfectly shaped Bizen Chawan from legendary Toyo Kaneshige (1896 - 1967)...

Japanese sword hilt (tsuba) in gold damascened iron (nunomezogan). The metal is finely cut with dragons pursuing the sacred pearl in the Namban style. The pearl is pierced and contains a small movable ball. Japanese work beginning of the 17th century Edo period. Dimensions 72x5mm Good condition.

Cut iron tsuba. Decor of dragons and sacred pearls. Inside the beads, tiny iron balls are mobile. The style is called Namban. This kind of tsuba is little represented without however being rare. But the model presented here is exceptionally of excellent quality. Indeed the blacksmith has cut out his pattern excessively finely like an iron lace. We do not know of a model with such thin wires cut at the extreme limit of the constraints of the metal...

Painting in ink, polychromy and gold on silk. The scene represents (several sennins) Taoist immortals with children or servants. In the background we can distinguish mountains more or less masked by golden clouds. In the center of the screen we can see Chokaro with his gourd, Chinnan with two dragons emerging from his alms bowl, and Tekkai leaning against his cane and pointing his finger at Jurojin who is mounted on a white crane...

This piece is covered natural ash glaze, made by Junri Hamada who is well known as an expert potter in Mino pottery area where many traditional potteries has been made from 15th century. Size: 6.3cm(D)/5.0cm(H) Accessary: wooden box signed by artist

This piece is made of kiseto glaze very popular, yellow glaze is made of tree ashes and green pattern is by oxide copper. Hamada is well as an expert in kiseto works. A fabulous bowl, scarred on both sides and decorated in the manner of the Oribe work held in the collection of the V&A by Shigemori Yoko enclosed in a signed wooden box titled Ao-tenten Natsu Chawan (Summer Tea Bowl with Blue Spots). It has been dipped in two different colors of overlapping glaze, with random strikes of black punctuated by dribbles and splatters of blue and red...

Exceptionally large Kyoto ceramic incense burner. It is turned in a typical clay, a kind of sandstone earthenware covered with finely cracked glaze . A charming decor, animated by chinese children playing, develops over the entire surface, enamelled with colors predominantly green and blue. Gold details. On the sides, bouquets of flowers and leaves bloom elegantly. It is rare to find such harmonious sculptures on Japanese ceramics, usually they are ostentatiously excessive and vulgar...

High level Antique Japanese bronze vase with a water dragon coiled revealing itself around foliated neck. The vase has a squat body and elongated, fluted neck with open foliated mouth, revealing excellent original condition and beautiful patina. Dramatic lifelike waves crash on the vases shoulders just below the dragon, spraying outward. Highly detailed and signed.

Very rare 'Noshi" celebration wood carving. Noshi is an ornament attached to gifts and presents offered on festive occasions in Japan like weddings, births etc. This carving is a jizaikagi used on a hearth pot holder with iron fittings and bamboo pole. Meiji (1868-1912) Japanese Boxwood Carved Mother of Pearl Shibayama Kogo Fan Shaped Box

It is 1.08 inches (2.75 cm) tall by 3.9 inches (10 cm) wide. It is 44.9 gram.

Blue glaze has been applied to the joined slabs of raw clay forming this elongated basin by Shigemori Yoko enclosed in a signed wooden box titled Mudai. Several slabs of clay were rolled and crushed together, the raw edges untouched forming a mountain-scape along the top. It is 66 cm (26 inches) long and in excellent condition, enclosed in a wooden box signed by her brother Naoki. This is one of only a couple examples we have from this torn series...
