1900's Japanese Shakudo Mixed Metal Floral Chain Necklace with Fan Shaped Pendant

It is 21 inches (53.5 cm) in circumference by 9.25 inches (23.5 cm) long. The fan is 0.9 inch 1.4 inches (2.3 cm) in length by (3.56) wide. It is 67 gram.

It is tarnished and has surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

Antique Japanese cast iron tetsubin (kettle for heating water for tea). Made with a tall handle and bell-shaped body. Raised shells adorn one side with a raised abalone shell on the other. The intentional casting of rough edges adds a natural beach-like appearance. The lid is also made of cast iron.

Age: Meiji Period (1868-1912)

Dimensions: 11" high (including handle) x 7" wide x 6 1/2" wide

Small cast iron tea-pot. One side is decorated with lotus flowers, the other side is without any decoration. The spout is doubled in bronze, the handle is in copper as well as the lid which has a decoration of small rounds in light relief of different patina, perhaps formerly gilded. The grip button is in silver plated copper and shakudo. It is likely that this type of jug was also used for alcohol as specified on the invoice issued by the seller in Kyoto which dates it to 1850...

Cast Bronze Candlestick. Edo Japan Lost wax cast bronze candlestick. Beautiful cast iron and scraper finish. Decoration of Buddhist lions in relief. The candle receptacle is made of 4 hammered bronze lotus petals, these petals, thin enough, have a flexibility allowing the candles to be held perfectly. The two removable handles have the shape of Buddhist lions. Excellent bronze patina. Japanese work from the beginning of the Edo period, difficult to date with accuracy, 18th century or before...

Cast bronze candlestick. Finely chiseled decoration of tao tie masks and stylized cicadas in the archaic Chinese style. The cast is perfect without the slightest defect. The carving is precise without error. The object has a very elegant atypical shape. Below a mark of 6 characters must announce the name of the artist who is necessarily excellent. Very beautiful object absolutely unique. In a perfect state. Wear of multi-secular use. Japan Edo period. Height about 25cm.

A Japanese cast iron tetsubin or water kettle with an undulating rim. The sides are cast in relief with a temple compound amid pines in a generic landscape, the reverse with sparrows in flight, all above a key-fret band. The kettle has a typical stubby "S" spout, wrought iron overhead swing handle, and is fitted with a bronze lid having "garlic clove" knop...

1900's Japanese Cast Iron Gold & Silver Inlay Tetsubin with Bamboo & Bird

It is 7 inches (17.8 cm) tall measured with handle up and 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) tall measured with handle down by 6 inches (15.2 cm) wide. It is 2.5 Lb. It will hold 900 ml (cc) water.

It has rust, loss of gilding, missing a leaf of the finial, oxidation, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

A very attractive and fine cast iron incense container (kogo) for use in tea ceremony decorated with a motif from the Ten Ox-herding Pictures of Zen Buddhism. Inside covered in gold. Signed by Suzuki Morihisa (1920–1981), a 14th generation of cast iron-makers from Morioka who later taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tokyo. A frequent exhibitor at the Nitten. With original signed kiri-tomobako and artist's information paper. Showa period ca. 1960. H 3 cm, D 7,2. Condition: Perfect.

Japanese Meiji Cast Iron Tetsubin with Signature - Hailstone Pattern

The cast iron tetsubin (teapot / kettle) is of course the central feature of the tea ceremony. This example was made during the Meiji period (1868 - 1912) or possibly a little later, the pattern to the upper part of the kettle known as the hailstone or nail head pattern. It has a copper cover that is a perfect fit. There is a signature to the right of the spout and there also appear to be seal marks to the base...

Japanese Cast Iron Tetsubin, Tea Kettle, tea pot signed by "Ryobundo", "as is" condition, Meiji period, 1910, 8 1/2" high include handle, 7 1/4" wide include spout, signed under the Bronze top, the top knob is damaged. The surface finished with raised circles on the upper section and sandy finish.
