A pair of antique Japanese mixed metal candlesticks made of bronze and silver. The base of the tall candlestick has elephant trunks as legs. The top portion has reliefs of birds in foliage and a dragonfly on lotus leaves. The shorter candlestick has similar reliefs of birds and a dragonfly.

They are 5.15 inches (13.2 cm) tall by 7.65 inches (19.5 cm) wide. They are 8.8 lb (3980 gram).

They have loss of patina, oxidation, felt fabric glued at the bottom of one tiger, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

Six(6) Japanese Gilded on Copper Hardware fittings, early 1900's, 2" wide, 2 1/4" deep include long nail, loose 3 pieces fit together tight once nailed in place. One of them has old black lacquer finish and most of gilt finish worn off, no missing pieces.

Stunning tall pair of Japanese rabbits with a rich bronze patina over metal. Very heavy, they have the weight of solid bronze and the underlying metal may possibly be white bronze. A terrific decorator item, they are in very good condition with only minor abrasions underneath. Standing rabbit measures 9.75 inches high and 9" long.
