The hem of his robes are accentuated with raised lines made as strings of pearls with the lower parts decorated w. incised patterns. The robe covering the left arm is open underneath and the rim of the seat has large pearls in accordance with 15th century stylistic features for Central Tibetan bronze images of Buddha...
Fine statue of Buddha, in monk's robes, standing on a circular base with a tenon beneath, his left hand holding the robe, his right arm alongside his leg. Bronze, with remnants of the original gilding. Nepal, 15th to 16th century, maybe earlier. Height: 8.3 cm. The statue is mounted on a plexi stand. Very good condition. NOTE: collected in situ in 1974.

€450.00 Head of a deity, probably one of the Hindu deities. However, the shape of the top of the head and the presence of a usnisa above the forehead may suggest that this is an early representation of the head of Buddha. The head is made of wood, with a beautiful dark brown crusty patina. India, 15th/16th century. Height: 21 cm. Very good condition despite a few age cracks.

SOLD This is a very finely cast Tibetan bronze fragment dating to the 17th century or possibly earlier. It depicts a wrathful deity, possibly Vajrabhairava, complete with finely modeled skull crown/tiara to the wrathful head. Please have a look at the photos and feel free to ask any questions. the piece measures 2.5" in height (6.25cm), not including the custom base. Exceptionally well cast with very fine detail. Not easy to find these days

$1,095.00 A solid cast gilt bronze dating to no later than the 17th century. The piece consists of the upper five heads of a standing Avalokitesvara. Mounted on a custom stand, the piece itself measures 4-1/4" in height. The quality of the casting is first-rate; remains of gilding, as shown in the photos. The piece would originally have had inlays of turquoise or coral, now missing. Please have a look at the photos, as they are part of the description.
Depicting a Tirthankara surrounded by consorts, elephants and figures in seated posture. The shrine is inlaid with copper and silver. A very dine piece from Gujarat. H. 15 cm (6 inch). Provenance: private collection Belgium.
