Small bronze Indian sculpture of the elephant headed Hindu god Ganesha, known as the Remover of Obstacles, beautifully formed head and body with plumpness of arms and legs, one hand and crown missing, encrusted patina with hints of vermilion, 13th/14th century. Size: 2 5/8" high x 2 1/8" wide

Rare 17th Century Tibetan Chakrasamvara Thangka with numerous inscriptions on the back. There is a tape repair on the center of the back. 26 x 19.5 inches, 66 x 50 cm.

Indian black schist carving of dancing Ganesha, the elephant headed god (the Remover of Obstacles) stands with his own broken tusk in one hand, and ax in the other, trunk is sampling sweets in upper left hand, just below his lower right hand is his mouse vehicle, white and vermilion traces, beautiful modeling of body, from Uttar Pradesh, 15th century. Size: 7 3/4" high x 4 1/2" wide

Made in Ganga-Jumna (two color bronze) technique in the 17th century. This complicated technique is nowadays lost. Please note the very fine detail on this figure, like bracelets, anklets and rings. Exceptionally fine and well cast 16/17th Century bronze dancing figure of KRISHNA from Southern India with many details, a wonderful natural patina and clear evidence of prolonged Puja (worship of object). Finely sculptured Ganesha bronze from West India, 17th Century, surrounded by a stylized aura ring, topped by a divine protective head and a beautiful engraved lotus flower base. This figure shows prolonged Puja (worship to the object) and a naturally formed patina. Very good condition, large size: H. 6.5" (11 cm.) Provenance: European Private Collection.

The detacheable central Tirthankara surrounded by other Tirthankaras, two elephants holding his princely parasol, his throne supported by two lions. On the back there is a lengthy inscription, holding the date 1674 in Samvat, which is 1617 in the Western calendar. The shrine is inlaid all over with silver. H. 28 cm, W. 19 cm. Condition: some old damage and an old repair to the thinly cast back of the stand. Otherwise in wonderful original condition.

Lovely open work ornament with fine engraving of dragons between branches. L. 14,5 cm, H. 7,5 cm. Comes with a custom made acrylic stand. Virabhadra, incarnation of Shiva, is often depicted in solid bronze plaques. This one however is remarkably fine, with its delicate openwork. It dates from the 16th century, possibly earlier and was made in West India. It has a warm brown patina and appropriate age wear. There is a very old repair just above the small figure on the left. Height 26 cm (the sculpture), 32 cm including the stand.
