Sold on Layaway Eight petal Chinese Tang dynasty (618-907) foliate form bronze mirror with central pierced knob and four relief characters reading “long life, riches, and honor” (chang ming fu gui). 7 1/4” diameter. Good condition overall with typical wear and extensive patina. From the estate of Gerhard Lohmeier, a Diplomat at the German Embassy in Beijing from 1985 to 1989.

Sold A wonderful pair of larger Chinese pottery figure of two male attendants. The figures date to Ming Dynasty 1368-1644 AD.
The two figures are dressed in robes, glazed in Green and Yellow Sancai colors. They are placed on plints, and each hold a book in front of the chest. Both wear hats and have nice facial features and details made with fragile pigment colors of which some still remains. Height: 31-32 cm - c. 12,5 inches...

This attractive pottery figure was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906) and most likely represents a groom. It is made from a red pottery and joins at the sides show it was made in a two-piece mould. The surface has been cold-painted in a white pigment with the facial details picked out in red and black pigments. The figures stands in attendance with hands clasped together under long sleeves... Height approximately 44 cm. Some of the glaze on the rim peeled off. In good condition.

This superb and impressive pottery jar (hu) was made during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220). It is made from a fairly high-fired reddish pottery and coated in a particularly attractive streaky dark green and finely-crackled glaze, the colour of which varies according to its thickness. Interestingly, the drips of glaze to the mouth rim and the pooling of glaze to the flat base show that this jar was fired upside down... Chinese Qing dynasty bombe form censer (incense burner) with flared brown dressed rim decorated around the circumference in underglaze blue on a white porcelain ground with two four-clawed dragons chasing a flaming pearl of wisdom. White glazed interior. Two underglaze blue concentric circles are on the glazed base. 6 1/4” diameter by 3 1/2” high. Likely 18th century and no later than 19th. Good overall condition...

Featuring a tapering body supported by a tall splayed foot with a short and waisted neck and is decorated with a band of floral scrolls in between a bordering ruyi pattern with floral sprays and alternating clouds above stylized pattern with a geometrical border.
