Blue and white Chinese porcelain container shaped like a fan, with scenes of a large open body of water surrounded by rocky terrain, and people fishing in boats on its outer edges and lid. The lid is inscribed in Chinese with marks by the artist, and the inside bottom piece shows a large river flowing into open waters. Interesting sprue mark pattern on bottom. Chinese Yuan to Ming dynasty Longquan celadon dish with everted barbed rim, the center nicely carved with a floral pattern surrounded by stylized incised floral patterns on the cavetto. The glaze is crackled overall. The underside is decorated with vertical ribbing. The characteristic unglazed burnt orange ring is within the glazed ringed foot. 10 3/8" diameter x 2" high. Circa 14th century. Very good overall condition...
